Ponty Kicks
The conversion challenge at The Rec. Beat the computer, a mate on the same screen, or a friend online.
Full time
How to kick
For a conversion, first pick your spot on the line through the try (Closer / Further back, or the up and down keys): further back opens the angle, too close and the defence charges it down. Then swipe up from the ball: further for power, to the side to aim. Keyboard: left and right to aim, hold the space bar for power.
Mind the wind
The flags on the posts and the arrow at the top show the wind. Aim into it: a strong wind can carry a good kick wide.
The laws
As World Rugby's Law 8: a conversion is 2 points, kicked on a line through where the try was scored, with the defence charging from their goal line as you start your run-up; a penalty goal is 3 points from the mark, and the defence must stand still. 90 seconds for a conversion, 60 for a penalty. Five kicks each, the same for both sides, then sudden death.
